During this summercourse program you will dive deep into the sustainable development of Almere and the Netherlands. Almere has a clear vision to become a fully sustainable city in 2030. To do this the city has teemed up with some leading edge scholars of integral science and city development. Two years ago the foundation is laid by the vision plan Almere 2.0 'Scalejump', projecting a doubling of the city in 2030. Cradle to Cradle visionaries William Mc Donough and Michael Braungart helped to develop the Almere Principles, a set of design rules to navigate the city to become a fully sustainable city in 2030.
